I asked a couple of friends how often they use body lotion, and it was a unanimous ‘every day,’ which got me thinking… I am embarrassed to admit that other than moisturising my face after a shower and using hand cream and castor oil a few times a week—that’s it in terms of hydration. A bottle of body lotion can last me a year. It’s not like I have fabulous glowing skin either. I can’t remember the last time I used a face mask or exfoliator. Seriously—it’s terrible!
I’m 54 now and skincare needs to become a priority. My CMT hands make it difficult to apply lotion, but my sweet husband is happy to help (he helps me shower as it is).
My aims for this (action) challenge are:
* Drink more water (I only have about 1 litre a day)
* Use body lotion every day
* Body brush at least a few times a week before showering.
* Use the eye cream!
* Give myself a gentle facial every week during this challenge.
* On the days we go out, take make-up off as soon as I get home, clean my skin and use castor oil to hydrate. I can’t use it at night as I use a CPAP machine to sleep.
